1. Does the Town collect my trash? When is trash collected?

The Town of Clayton contracts trash collection through Independent Disposal Services. Trash is collected every Tuesday, except certain holidays, where it is a day behind. If you have a trash pickup concern, please call Independent Disposal Services at (877) 642-5400. Holiday Trash Schedule

2. Can I put out bulk items for trash pickup?

Large bulk items may be placed out with the normal trash on Tuesdays. One bulk item will be picked up per week. For special pickup requests, please call Independent Disposal Service at (877) 642-5400 for information and fees.

3. Can I put out cut grass and tree limbs with my trash?

Yard waste is collected by the Town on Monday and Thursday. It is not collected with normal trash collection. No trash or garbage will be permitted in yard waste. All grass clippings must be in individual plastic containers not exceeding 35 pounds. Do not put in plastic bags. Only limbs from normal trimming by homeowner will be collected. Place your containers on the curb for pickup.
