General Information

Trash Collection

Trash is collected on Tuesdays and Fridays. (Bulk items will be picked up on Friday with usual trash pick up). Independent Disposal handles trash Collection. Their phone number is (302)378-5400.

Dog Registration

All Dogs over 6 months old in town must be registered with the Town of Clayton. There is a $3.00 registration fee. You must also present a State of Delaware dog license.

Utilities

Utility Bills are mailed the first week of the month and are due on the 20th of the month. Late fees are assessed the 21st of the month. $15.00 or 1.5%(Which ever is greater) for electric and $15.00 or 1.5%(whichever is greater) for water/sewer.

Delinquent notice are sent out and are due by 9:00 a.m. within 5 business days. If no payment is made, utilities will be disconnected without further notice. If there is a problem regarding your utility bill or you are experiencing difficulty making the payment, Please contact our office (302)653-8419.

After disconnection, a reconnection charge of $25.00(during business hours) or $50.00(after business hours) for each utility plus any balance due is required to be paid in the town office before reconnection occurs.

A $100.00 refundable utility deposit and a non-refundable $25.00 connection fee are required to receive electric/trash/water/sewer.
